  • Jury Declines to Convict Client on Either Felony at Trial

    Client charged with Assault on a Police Officer and Felony Distribution of Marijuana.  After a one-day jury trial, jury declines to convict on either felony and finds client guilty of the charged misdemeanors instead.

    Clients seeks to challenge the constitutionality of marijuana laws in Virginia.  Circuit Court Judge rules against the motion (marijuana is still illegal in Virginia).  But client is satisfied as he found an attorney who will advocate for his beliefs--case moves onto the Court of Appeals.
